A coming-of-age drama comedy that negotiates the demands of family and friendship, tradition and desire to find one’s identity and fulfil one’s aspirations. Yasmine is the story of an 18-year old girl who wants to become a champion of silat, the Malay martial arts, to win over her school crush. In her quest, she stumbles and has conflicts with her 2 best friends and her strict father but Yasmine perseveres, believing that her dream is worth fighting for.
